Saudi Arabia is set to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Wednesday, following the absence of a new moon sighting on Monday evening after Maghrib prayers.
Muslims in Saudi Arabia and nearby regions will observe an additional day of fasting, completing the full 30 days of Ramadan.
According to reports from Gulf News, Tuesday will mark the final day of Ramadan, with Wednesday ushering in the first day of Shawwal, signifying the onset of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The sighting of the crescent moon determines the beginning of Shawwal, thus marking the commencement of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Eid al-Fitr, commonly known as the "festival of breaking the fast," is celebrated globally by Muslims as Ramadan draws to a close.
With approximately 1.9 billion Muslims worldwide, constituting around 25% of the global population, Eid holds significant cultural and religious importance.
